The West Virginia Center for Civic Life

The West Virginia Center for Civic Life is a nonpartisan organization promoting public engagement of citizens in important public issues throught the practices of deliberative democracy.  They engage in a broad spectrum of collaborative work primarily througth these three venues:

  • Public Policy Institutes are intensive three day seminars focused on learning how to convene and moderate deliberative forums;
  • Framing of Community Issues help groups create balanced, multi-perspective frameworks for community discussions of pressing issues;
  • National Issues Forums is a national network of thousands of organizations that convene deliberative forums on crucial public issues.
